E49 Charger in "Vitamin C".
The E49 is still the fastest accelerating Australian production
car. Road tests in 1972 rated it at 14.1 to 14.2 seconds for
the quarter mile. Amazing for a six-cylinder engine! On modern
tires, restored examples run 13.9 seconds for the quarter.

Here is the engine bay of the E49 Charger pictured above.
Three dual-throat Weber carburetors (that's one throat per cylinder)
sit on a tuned inlet manifold. The development team actually flew
a VG Valiant to Italy during the development of this setup. |

This car has appeared in "Hey Charger"
magazine - I think issue number 5. If ever I own a Charger, this
is the colour it will be!
